What to cook tonight

The clock says dinner. Nobody wants another 20-minute scroll through saved posts, takeout apps, or the same five meals rotating in your head. You already know what you like—you just need a clean way to choose.

Why more recipes make dinner harder

Feeds and recipe sites are great for inspiration. They are terrible at 6pm. Infinite options raise the stakes: everything looks fine, nothing feels decided, and the group chat stalls again.

What you need on a weeknight is a short list of dishes you actually cook—then a fair way to pick one. That is the gap Dish Rolodex fills: a personal recipe library plus a Tonight wheel that answers what's for dinner from your own cards.

Build a rolodex, then let Olga pick

Save the dishes you return to: names, ingredients, steps, optional photos, and tags like weeknight, leftovers-friendly, or date night. Favorites get a nudge on the wheel so the meals you love show up more often without locking you into the same three dinners.

When you are stuck, open Tonight, optionally filter by tag, and spin. Olga picks from the list in front of you—not from the open internet. Dinner gets decided. You cook.

Decide tonight in under a minute

Download Dish Rolodex or open it on the web. Save a few go-to dishes, then spin Tonight.

Not another meal-planning calendar

Full meal planners are useful when you batch-prep a week. Most nights you just need tonight settled. Dish Rolodex is a lightweight companion: curated go-tos, a spin when you do not want to decide, and Cooked it history when you want to see what you have been eating.

Your recipes stay on your device. No account is required for the library itself. Export a JSON backup from Settings when you change phones.

Common questions

Is this the same as a meal planning app?
Meal planners map a whole week. Dish Rolodex focuses on the daily decision: what to cook tonight from recipes you already trust. You can still use it next to a planner or grocery list.
Can I filter by leftovers or weeknight tags?
Yes. Tag dishes the way you think about them, then filter before you spin so the wheel only considers what fits tonight.
Where do my recipes live?
On your device. Dish Rolodex does not upload your library to our servers for normal use. Back up with Export in Settings when you want a portable copy.
