Dinner wheel that spins your recipes
A random dinner picker only helps if it picks from food you will actually make. Dish Rolodex’s Tonight wheel—Olga—spins across the dishes in your personal library, with optional tag filters and favorites weighted on the wheel.
Fair, not gimmicky
Spin-the-wheel dinner apps that pull generic lists still leave you hunting for ingredients or arguing about taste. Olga spins your cards. You control the field: all dishes, favorites only, or a tag like weeknight.
Favorites get a bit more weight so the meals you love show up more without locking the wheel. You can also lean on recent “skip” preferences in Settings when you do not want last night’s pick again.
How Tonight fits the night
Open Tonight, set filters if you want, spin once, cook. Mark Cooked it when you are done so your history reflects reality—not a plan you abandoned. That history lives with your private library on the device.
Stuck and need context? Pair the wheel with a short library session: add one new go-to, tag two favorites, then spin. The product gets better as your rolodex gets more honest.
Try Olga’s dinner wheel
Download the app or open the web version. Save a few dishes, then spin Tonight.
When to use a dinner wheel vs. a list
Lists still win when one person already decided. Use the wheel when the group is stuck, when you are cooking solo and overthinking, or when everyone likes the options but nobody wants to choose. That is the job: end the debate, keep dinner in your own repertoire.
Common questions
- Is the spin truly random?
- Olga picks from the dishes currently in play (after filters). Favorites can be weighted so loved dishes appear more often; the pick is still a fair random selection from that weighted set.
- Can I skip recent dinners?
- Yes. Settings includes preferences so you can avoid recent picks when you want more variety across the week.
- Does the wheel work offline?
- After the app loads, the wheel runs against your on-device library. You do not need to browse the internet to decide dinner.
